The US population is about 35x Israel’s. 1500 Israeli dead is the equivalent of 53,000 American dead, almost the same number suffered in a decade of war in Vietnam. If 53,000 Americans had died in 6 months of combat during Vietnam, every North Vietnamese city would be a radioactive pile of ashes. In WW2, the US burned a section of Tokyo to the ground, killed 100,000 Japanese over 24 hours. Total US dead fighting Japan over 4 years? 100,000 GIs.
