She knew she was speeding...Wonder how many cars were on the road at the time. Looking at a map...I think she was hoping he'd just back off. And the route to her home was not as clse as I thought and a rather circuitous route.Wonder if she slowed down or stepped on it to try and lose him?

I agree, she was definitely hoping she could loose him or to stop chase.
