KENNER, La. — Three Kenner police officers were shot during a standoff with a suspect in Kenner, according to our Partners at The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate.

Police were at the 700 block of Farm Avenue investigating a double shooting. They entered a standoff with 31-year-old Matthew Lathers.

Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley told NOLA.com that the wounded officers were taken to a hospital, but it's unclear what condition the officers are in.

When officers arrived around 9:45 p.m., they found two individuals shot, one with non-life-threatening injuries and the second in critical condition. Both victims are adult males, according to Kenner PD spokesperson Captain Michael Cunningham."
