She’s not bright enough to speak in platitudes and pure sophistry so she just answers in basic transparent lies. And everyone knows she’s just lying.
That is 100% true. Her predecessor, Jen Psaki, was much smarter (being a white, heterosexual woman) and could dissemble and prevaricate more effectively.
