The president’s brother, James Biden, will likely receive renewed focus from the fledgling House impeachment inquiry following disclosures about his involvement with Qatari government officials and his attempts to gain access to the country’s sovereign wealth fund.
James Biden — who has already appeared for a transcribed interview with the impeachment investigators — has been scrutinized for more than a year due to his decades-long career as a lobbyist. The first brother has made tens of millions of dollars over the years by working for the tobacco and healthcare industries, among other ventures.
His foray into Qatar and its sovereign wealth fund, which began in 2017, could put him back in the hot seat. His involvement was first reported by Politico.
Mr. Biden’s former business partner, Michael Lewitt, testified to a bankruptcy court that the first brother attempted to work with “members of the Qatari government.” His goal was to find funding for a failing chain of hospitals that were owned by the healthcare company Americore, which paid James Biden while also allegedly committing Medicare fraud.
Shortly after his brother left the vice presidency, James Biden and his partners began contacting members of the Qatari government about funding for Americore. He went so far as to invoke his family name in a draft letter to the country’s sovereign wealth fund, the Qatar Investment Authority.
“My family could provide a wealth of introductions and business opportunities at the highest levels that I believe would be worthy of the interest of His Excellency,” James Biden wrote in the draft letter with his business partner, Amer Rustom. “On behalf of the Biden family, I welcome your interest here.”
Americore was failing at the time, and James Biden committed to raising $30 million to keep the rural hospital network open.

The House Oversight Committee in March released a transcript of James Biden’s February 21 closed-door impeachment inquiry interview.
Joe Biden’s slimy brother and ‘family fixer’ James Biden worked with Hunter Biden on various overseas business ventures.
One of their more notable ventures included CEFC, an energy company linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
James Biden admitted to lawmakers that Joe Biden received $40,000 in laundered Chinese funds.
Joe Biden has repeatedly claimed he never took a dime from China and was never involved with his son Hunter’s overseas business dealings.
A demonstrable lie.
Biden, in a ‘catch me if you can’ moment, taunted reporters last June inquiring about his family’s corruption and asked, “Where’s the money?”

Jim Biden used Joe Biden’s name in his efforts to back Americore.. least three .. relatives were employed by the medical company. Americore, a healthcare company has been accused in $100million Medicare fraud case, revealed that Jim Biden used his brother Joe’s clout as vice president to advance the company.
Jim worked as a consultant for Americore in 2017 after his brother served eight years as vice president. Former executives from Americore .. that Jim had also planned for Joe to serve on the board and suggested his brother could promote the company during a future presidential run

Jim used his relationship with his older brother to pursue deals and make pitches that rewarded the company with funds for drug rehab, cancer treatments and lab testing.

Jim offered to secure funds from investors in the Middle East to fund Americore’s expansion.
The expected funds did not arrive and led to the downfall of the healthcare company, which left bills unpaid and patients untreated. The company also remains under investigation, accused of $100million in Medicare fraud.

Americore imploded in 2019 and filed for bankruptcy amid a pile of lawsuits and a federal investigation into fraud allegations. Americore also accused Jim Biden of failing to repay $600,000 in loans.
According to Politico, the investigation did not find that the president directly involved himself in the fraud, but ‘did benefit indirectly from his brother’s work with the firm.’ ...
the same day that Jim received a $200,000 Ameicore payment, he made a check out to his brother Joe.
