I know America hasn’t always done the right thing, but what in the world did we ever do to deserve this wretched woman in our politics?

“Why do so many Americans think the economy is bad? Because they see it in their own bank accounts.”

Much more than personal bank accounts. They see:

Double digit price increases at the grocery store plus shrinking container sizes..

Ever present begging and panhandling by homeless people in public.

Empty storefronts in malls and strip shopping centers.

Huge cost inflation and declining service in medical care. Plus the hassles of dealing with mountains of paperwork and faceless insurance companies.

Skyrocketing real estate prices, property taxes and insurance costs.

Small starter homes being gobbled up by corporations and rented out to multiple migrant families. Many young adults are priced out of the housing market.

Presence of gangs and organized theft rings in previously safe middle class neighborhoods. Complete indifference of law enforcement and politicians to criminal predators.

Crumbling public infrastructure - roads, bridges, buildings. Meanwhile bankrupt corrupt urban governments spend billions of dollars building sports arenas for professional sports teams owned by billionaires.

A rapid breakdown of key pillars supporting a modern civilized society - military, education, medical care, government at all levels, religion, journalism, the justice system.

Inability to find and hire skilled tradespeople for home repairs, mechanical work and other services, despite 100 million working age people not being in the workforce.

Most recently the highly publicized collapse of commercial aviation.

Constant and shameless lying by politicians, bureaucrats, educators, journalists, corporate leaders on every subject. Truth is no longer a virtue and is no longer expected. Trust in people and institutions is at an all time low.

When everything around you is breaking down, it is impossible to perceive the economy is good.

The Dem positions are indefensible and hence the mass censorship.

It’s almost as if this is the first time that she had to respond to the point.

That’s a result of rarely if ever being challenged or the outcome of censorship.

I'm sure that The Former Twelfth Lady's net worth has skyrocketed to a half billion dollars in the last three years so of *course* she thinks that things are just ducky.

Gas at $3.75 a gallon...milk at $3 a gallon...and mortgage rates at 7.5% wouldn't be a problem for her at all.

Let’s not forget that when unemployment soared under Obama, Pelosi was out front telling us how great unemployment checks were for the economy....

[Nancy Pelosi flips her lid]

Was it a Botox lid with, like, brass hinges?

Were they able to see the microchip implant put there by Dr. Atticus Noyle? Was she eating tomatoes, Ramen noodles and reading romance novels (”The Manchurian Candidate” 2004)

I don’t know if she ought go sledding with just a piece of plastic between her brain and the snow (sorta “Christmas Vacation”)

She flipped her lid over this but probably rolled her eyes over Paul’s short-lived Grindr date while she was out of town.

https://www.belfercenter.org/publication/election-devaluation-cycle

The Election-Devaluation Cycle

from link: According to Nordhaus, in the year leading up to an election, governments are more inclined to pursue fiscal and monetary expansion. The idea is that accelerating output and employment growth will boost the incumbent’s popularity before the election, with the bill – in terms of debt troubles and inflation – coming due only after the vote.

But Nordhaus’s seminal paper also predicted a political foreign-exchange cycle. Emerging-market and developing economies, Nordhaus suggested, might seek to prop up the value of their currencies before an election, even if it means spending down their foreign-exchange reserves, only to undergo a devaluation soon after.
