In a prior life I used to keep an eye on “student” riots. The program was set up like this.
A week before planned spontaneous riot, leaflets would be placed all around a campus and neighboring areas about an upcoming “protest”. Of course the media would be alerted. The morning of the spontaneous riot, the “media” would show up and begin placing its cameras. It took almost 4 hours to do this so that when the spontaneous riot began to fester, everyone knew where to begin so the most destructive would be filmed. Then the fun began, almost as if someone blew a whistle. All contrived. The evening news got its 5 minutes of destruction and the spontaneous rioters received their fame.
