Judge Merchan is winning ‘his’ case. He just fined Trump $8,000 dollars for violating the gag order.
Trump should file a lawsuit for violation of his 1st amendment rights, while Merchan’s selected witnesses are allowed to talk all they want against Trump.
A lawsuit could immediately put the court case on hold until it’s reviewed by the SCOTUS.
Now, Merchan is threatening to put Trump in jail if he violates he gag order again. It would be interesting if the secret service guards would allow Trump to be jailed and it they would be forced to be in jail with him for his safety. At that point, it should be Merchan who ends up in jail for trying to stop Trump from speaking and then trying to jail him.
Secret Service rules trump any two-bit tyrant judge. They would have to vacate Riker’s island for security reasons, relocate the inmates, which would take a month, minimum. Juan Peron is bluffing. Meanwhile, Trump wins the optics and information war.
