I’m surprised Jo Jo isn’t naming highway and buildings after himself.

Reminds me of a certain historic ruler who decided he knew how best to deploy his troops, every move of which led to disaster.

There it was a case of a fella wanting to win a war, here it is a case of a fella wanting to destroy his own country.

Biden and Austin are Tweedle-Dumb and Tweedle-Dumber, the lowest total IQ for a President and Secretary of Defense since the office of Secretary of Defense was created.

Manchurian Joe is weakening our military, depleting our weapon stocks and strategic oil reserves at the behest of his Chinese Communist Overlords.

Does anyone know the reasoning for this harebrained scheme? The National Guard are essentially civilians who are called up by their own states in case of emergency, or by the President in case of war. Transferring them to the Space Force federalizes them permanently, which I believe might be unlawful.

More demonstration that “progressives” don’t give a dam about democracy. To orogressives democracy has only one purpose, to enact one time pieces of legislation thet further turn over law making to the executive or to expand “regulatory” (law making) powers already handed to the executive branch.

The letter arrived after the Defense Department sent a legislative proposal to Congress in March to bypass existing laws...

***************

The usual MO of this administration is to bypass congress and laws that get in their way.

“...”undermines over 100 years of precedent” as well as national security and military readiness...”

Exactly according to the Left’s plan.

Only 199 days until the next election ... only 199 days left that Biden can continue to screw up America.

First I have heard of this.

Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall ..."The governors may have a different view, but I don't see a reason why a state needs a Space Force militia," (Air Force Secretary) Kendall said.

Seems like a legit question. I'm open to the arguments. Reserve forces are to augment regular forces in times of national need. National Guard forces can do the same, but only when mobilized. Otherwise they work for the Governor of the state.

The article describes this as a very small percentage of units and people that support the (formerly Air Force) Space Force units.

So a couple of questions: 1) How did we wind up with National Guard units supporting Air Force Space units in the first place? 2) I think its legit to ask why a Governor would have Space Command/Space Force members on state payroll?

The strange thing is that its Democratic governors (Newsome, Polis) who seem most upset about this. So there must be more to the story...

The creation Space Force, a sixth armed service, was never necessary. But, since it has been created, it make the most sense to transfer all space related operations to that now dedicated service branch.
