It is the pinnacle of the joint Progressive and Leftist ideologies, which is rule by the experts, both “technical” and ideological. For both Leftists and Progresives there is only one purpose for democracy, which is to add new ways to add powers to the administrative/regulatory state, and out of the hands of actual democratic decision making.
For both Leftists and Progressives democratic legislatures cannot be trusted with the most important decisions, they might not deliver what the Progressives or Lefists want, so they both tend to create an executive agency that will make the decisions the Leftists and Progressives want, because the Leftits and Progressives, in charge of academia will indoctrinate the technocrats to regurgitate the beliefs of the Leftists and Progressives.

I have no problem with Trump being a dictator and firing 99% of the bureaucrats and closing down their offices. Not only is it destroying the nation, it’s taking the world down with it.
The states can tell the EPA yo stick their regulations where the sun doesn’t shine.
