A landmark shift. Doctors assert that biology exists is a landmark shift. We live in a time of utter insanity.
What next? Perhaps we won't burn witches at the stake? No longer use trial by combat to determine guilt or innocence? Give up human sacrifice?
Imagine the possibilities! With a turn toward science we could soon have steam engines, too.

The NHS is to declare that sex is a matter of biology in a landmark shift against gender ideology.
Changes to the health service’s written constitution proposed by ministers will for the first time ban trans women from women-only wards, and give women the right to request a female doctor for intimate care.
The NHS constitution, a document that aims to set out the principles and values of the health service and legal rights for patients and staff, was last updated in 2015. It has to be updated at least every 10 years by the Secretary of State.
Campaigners for women’s rights welcomed the significant shift, which comes after years of wrangling and follows accusations that the health service had been captured by “gender ideology”.
In 2021, NHS guidance said trans patients could be placed in single-sex wards based on the gender with which they identified.
The new constitution will state: “We are defining sex as biological sex.”
Those seven words are, in the eyes of the alphabet ideologists, hate speech. Until Elon Musk bought Twitter they could get you kicked off the platform. You could be expelled from polite society for uttering them, and in many places in the United States and Canada probably still could.
In Justin Trudeau's Canada you could get arrested for hate speech, and imprisoned.
We live in insane times.
Women will also be given the right to request that intimate care is provided, where reasonably possible, by someone of the same biological sex.
It follows warnings that some female patients have been pressured into accepting such care from trans-identifying staff who were born male.
The proposed changes will also see discrimination requirements updated, with the word gender replaced with sex.
Gender reassignment remains a protected characteristic, meaning that a transgender patient could be given their own room in a hospital to protect their right to a single-sex service.
The document also places a duty on health providers to use “clear terms” to communicate and take account of biological differences. It follows pledges from ministers to stop NHS trusts using terms like “chestfeeding” and “people who give birth”.
Consider this fact: millions of people, including medical professionals, have been so intimidated that they have stayed silent in the face of a movement that has been sterilizing, mutilating, and drastically shortening the lives of children based on nothing more than the desire of the "right" people to do so.
J.K. Rowling has been vilified, threatened, shunned by the people she made famous and successful. Because she believes men are men and women are women. I look forward to a time when I don't have to cheer Rowling on for being sane.
Is the fever breaking?
Not in the US or Canada, I am afraid. We are still barrelling along at top speed in the wrong direction, although finally some politicians are pushing back hard. That it takes courage to do so is a reminder that on this side of the pond insane people still reign.

Rachel Levine is still driving the policies that shape the lives of all Americans. Biden just rewrote the Title IX rules such that the distinction between men and women has been wiped out. Our military is being hollowed out by leadership who are more concerned with bowing down to the alphabet gods than defending this country.
In Biden's America sex is a fiction, and alphabet ideology is fact. Blue states have rewritten laws that eliminate parental rights, force even churches to pay for transgender surgeries and abortions, and that require alphabet ideology in schools.
There are states when adoptive parents must agree to take children to Pride parades. Foster parents are rejected if they believe in biology.
Still, we should celebrate this victory.
It is insane that it took so much effort to get here, and that we still have so far to go.

Goodness. Is the UK’s National Health Service acting like a health service (maybe just a little bit)? How very problematic.
This is a BIG ruling, coming the same day as it was announced that England is DEPORTING illegal criminal invaders back to Africa.
Odd that England, in some ways, is turning the corner before the US.
