These people are hell-bent on World War III never ever any talk of negotiations. France is probably the most vulnerable nation in Europe. And they are picking a fight which might turn out to be Russia, China, and the north African culture inside of France against them.
With their Force de Frappe, not all that vulnerable.
And having most of Central Europe as a buffer zone between themselves and the Soviets - er, Russians.
