Probably holding it over Israel’s head to keep them from entering Rafah. America’s international reputation is suffering greatly for supporting Netanyahu’s slaughter of civilians. Israel is no closer to wiping out Hamas than they were in the beginning. The first few weeks we heard them talking about entering the tunnels and eradicating Hamas but then nothing. I doubt they’ve killed 20% of Hamas and an operation in Rafah isn’t going to result in them getting many more. Who’s Netanyahu fooling he’s just attempting to ethnically cleanse Gaza and the whole world sees it except for a few delusional people on this forum.
Ethnic cleansing is not what is happening to Hamas and Gaza. They are being given the same treatment that the US gave Germany and Japan. And that Sherman gave the South. In fact Israel is falling well short of that standard.
War results in civilian deaths. It is impossible to fight a war without eliminating your enemy’s ability to wage war. If the US is unable to tolerate civilian casualties in a war then it has already lost the next one and our freedoms are forfeit.
The Palestinians can choose to live in peace with Israel but they chose terror and war instead. Gaza’s population has grown from a few 100,000 to millions. How does that happen of ethnic cleaning in the goal?
