But what can jurors do to protect from being deceived by the judge? If I was a juror and decided based on what the judge allowed and then found out that the judge had hidden the important information from me, I’d be livid.
I’d feel used like a dirty condom. And I would want the judge to pay.
Jurors usually like the judge, and the judge decides what they see and hear.
Jurors don’t usually blame the judge for the fact they aren’t allowed to hear everything.
Especially in NYC, these Jurors undoubtedly love the judge.
The first thing a juror can do with respect to a deceptive judge or prosecutor is vote to acquit. Deception by either judge or prosecutor raises Reasonable Doubt that the defendant is guilty.
