I think an element of society is going to opt for anti-immigrant actions. Most of us including me are not.
I feel sorry for people who are innocent and could be mistaken for illegals.

You are one seriously confused individual. All of the history you cited has nothing whatsoever to do with today’s invasion of people from around the world illegally pouring across our border. They are creating all sorts of problems for Americans, yet there have not been riots or any type of physical backlash against them. So take your misplaced sympathy and shove it.
