The bigger news story here is that this is news. It is an attempt at propaganda by Newsweek under the guise of reporting on a story. It isn’t a mystery to anyone at FR, but it seems to still work on many people out in the world. My parents seem to watch the news without asking about the people who are presenting it and why they are reporting on certain stories and ignoring others.
The comments under this are remarkably on our side on a site that employs a collective ban/block feature. iow if a reply is flagged enough it vanishes and if too many are flagged the account is banned. The result of the comments being on our side is somewhat amazing.
