Oh No! The Free Traitors like GW MORON and Romney do not want tariffs! Screw main street Americans! The wall street 1%ers need that free trade even if it means destroying American manufacturing and American jobs!

Oh and by the way, the Free Traitors don’t want you to know that TARIFFS FUNDED THE ENTIRE U.S. GOVERNMENT for most of American history.

When the government prints money in order to spend money it does not have, that is inflation. Tariffs are a method of revenue and not a monetary policy. Tariffs are not inflationary.

Many things (critical for national security, able to be made by automated processes) should have to be made in the USA if vended in the USA.

The motor vehicle trade at a minimum should be balanced. Engines Made in the USA might be bartered (within a company) for parts Hecho en Mexico.

The principle should be one of financial balance rather than mere fairness. There are going to be people in the world willing to live on 25% less than you.

Assignable warrants should be initially granted to the US government for say imported steel. If a Chinese company dumps steel the warrant should allow for another future purchase by a warrant buyer within five years at the dumped price (adjusted 3% yearly for monetary inflation).

If a 25% tariff is placed on something it is generally going to be more expensive.

Tariffs generally cause prices to go up, but the increase in prices are circulated throughout the economy. It’s not a problem if the tariffed goods can be produced here, but tariffs on rare, and not locally produced goods, are not a good idea.
