If they were a bunch of Indian IIT grads and Russian physicists, they likely would add value.

However...

Why would it??

Sorry about the delayed response on this. The theory goes, and it’s not my theory, that migrants tend to work harder. They have, in the past, noted that immigrants have a higher employment rate than American Citizens. Further, the first generation after, tends the same direction. Therefore, your ‘importing people’ to pay into the system (if they are legal) to support things like Social Security (SS) which has been raided to support Welfare since the 1960’s.

The MODERN reality, is that immigrants have almost the same employment as US Citizens. They also have nearly the same unemployment and dependency on Government assistance. The new data suggests that any prior statistical advantage for legal immigrants has essentially evaporated. Now, your just importing people, dependents and all, without any significant advantage.

Please notice that the aforementioned discussion really deals only with legal immigration. The data for illegal immigration is nebulous, but appears to cost the US upwards of 1-2 Trillion in taxpayer money (Federal-State-Local). The hidden expense is the knowledge that those lost jobs, which may have been filled by Americans, also increase the need for Taxes to pay for those not employed.

What I am saying is that if you paid Americans to do your roof and it cost 100k, and illegals 40k you missed the hidden expenses. Then you have to pay 90K in taxes to cover welfare for unemployed Americans, drug rehab and criminal expenses, and provide services to the illegals, it wasn’t a deal. 1% increase in taxes hurts the GDP by about 0.78, on top of that. Since employers are no longer searching for workers and dependable workers, corporations loose interest in education and the ‘product’. Then, corporation look to move manufacturing to cheap labor to increase profit, because the undereducated and poorly responsible workers aren’t worth the price. The ‘dominos’ of immigration and illegal immigration are substantial.

Funny how the Democrats have ‘Scientists’ model the climate, but nobody models how unfettered immigration, irresponsible government spending, and destruction of American manufacturing by having the government use ‘income tax’ instead of Tariff to support itself, cause a giant spiral of economic death. Yet, when the new President of Argentina does ‘head spinning government cutting’ suddenly the economy rights itself in a few months....
