Biden wants his aid port up and operating before Israel goes into Rafah. He wants the civilians to have somewhere to go (which they have) and he wants these calls of “genocide” and “famine” to go away - which he will take credit for, because of his aid pier.
Then, Israel can go to Rafah.
Israel wants to go to Rafah now because it wants to keep pressure on Hamas to make a deal now, it has it’s intel now that may not be good in a day or week, and it has its own internal domestic turmoil about freeing the hostages and various other concerns.
I would bet this little spat gets resolved once Biden gets 6 or 8 ships of aid in, has 200,000 tents delivered, etc.
Well, if Bite Me thinks the calls of genocide will go away, he’s a damn fool. There is most certainly no genocide, and the aid pier will have no effect on the ridiculous assertions Israel is engaging in such.
