Omaha is where SAC is-the Strategic Air Command- which I believe is the control headquarters for all air force movement in the country. (at least that's what they told us when I toured it as a kid.) I would like to see President Bush go back to Washington, but I am most worried for his safety.

He's most certainly getting a briefing from some or all of the Joint Chiefs at the Offutt Underground Command post where I served in the 70's

Yup. And we don't have the info that the NSA and other agencies have (despite some posters claims to the contrary). They may be aware of threats to the White House which are credible. Let's jes chill a bit.

Washington is where Bush is. Our top priority has to be the protection of our leader. He can communicate with us where he is. I worry about him going to NORAD because there might have been something done to that also. He doesn't need to worry about being in Washington. We need to get through this and we need to get through it with our President.

Has anybody thought that maybe another portion of this is assassignation? Do you really want Bush to put himself at extreme risk to speak to you from Washington? Are we such big babies that we have to have our president to pacify us? Maybe we need to gain a little bit of strength ourselves.
