"Coincidental" Happenings Thread: Post Local "Accidents," etc., HERE
Posted on 10/04/2001 8:10:54 AM PDT by hispanarepublicana
Come as you are or wear your tinfoil hat.
I'm not wearing my Tinfoil hat yet, but I've got the catalog out and am doing some serious shopping. How many more "accidents" are going to happen while we build coalitions ? Post local events and incidents (accidents, bomb threats, etc.) here.

I fear you are right, the fix is in. Don't think we can trust much of anything the media tells us from here on out.

I'm sorry I couldn't resist.

I cut my self shaving Who knows? The Taliban execute men for shaving....

While we are at it, we should catalog all incidents since the 11th.

"I cut my self shaving this AM. Does that count?"
Yes, if you shave with a box cutter.

I cut my self shaving this AM. Does that count? Are you half Muslim and half Jewish?
I'd say it counts. Anything to spread panic, right?

how come that thread is dead....but it still appears on the front page? (the one with the gangsta rapper)

Just par for the course of Terrorism. The party being attacked becomes paranoid, copycats come out of the woodwork, conspiracy stories profligate, leading to overreaction and anxiety.

No, you shouldn't. The mere act of cataloging is misleading, statistically invalid, and worthless.
UNLESS, say, you VERY CAREFULLY go back and catalog every unusual incident in the 3 months before Sept. 11th. Or from August and September of 2000, 1999, 1998, etc.
But, people are far too lazy too do so. Exact same thing happened in January of 2000..people going nuts looking for "anomalies." I saw Y2K survivalist nuts proudly posting about the Indian power grid going down as the apocalypse actually beginning, etc...all kinds of silly stuff (problem is, the Indian power grid is CONSTANTLY going down. And was doing so in 1999, 1998, 1997, etc.)

I got to my office from the parking garage, and I thought that maybe I didn't lock my car, so I went back out there to check, and I had, in fact, locked my car! Someone must be spraying obsessive/compulsive gas in my building.
