Fox News ^

Objectivist torchbearer Leonard Peikoff is on Bill O'Reilly's show on Fox News tonight. He logically demands we start playing hardball with ALL terrorist nations. Nuke Iran, Iraq, Syria NOW.

Somehow I'm not comfortable thinking that Ayn Rand would advocate Peikoff's posture. Just doesn't fit.

About 95% of Iranian people HATE the bloodthirsty Islamic regime. Every chance they get, the Iranian people vote for changes and moderation. They enthusiastically rooted for American wrestlers. The Iranian people have been oppressed, tortured, and jailed by the regime. They are the victims.

Blaming them is like blaming a rape victim for the rape.

Nuking Iran is simply nuts.

I didn't hear the "nuke" recommendation but poor Namby Pamby Johnny sure got more than he asked for.

Posted a good article by this guy a while back but didn't know what he was about.

He was right on and Kasick(sic) looked like a whiny liberal.

Limbaugh quote:"The purpose of the military is to kill people and break things."

Peikoff immediately reminded me of Dr. Strangelove, without the humor.

Peikoff didn't actually say "nuke". He did however, to my shouts of "F*****g A, Dr." and the grins of all who watched, say that we should "ravage" our enemies until they rise up against the government who has caused such opression. He also spoke out aginst the "humanitarian" BS.

It was a truly moving moment which I for one was glad to hear.

Keep the Faith for Freedom

MAY GOD BLESS AND PROTECT THIS HONORABLE REPUBLIC

Nuking Iran is essential.

We need to reduce those Mullahs running that place to radioactive dust.

Agreed. Smart bombs on the centers of authority? I still shudder with horror with the memory of children sent in to clear minefields in the war with Iraq.

I've been a member longer than a day, and I thought he was a moron also. Since you're an objectivist, I assume, maybe you cane xplain what relevance length of time on FR has to do with the validity of one's views. Does "objective" equal "rude"?

The most holy cities in all of the moslem religion are Mecca and Medina, both in Saudi Arabia. All moslems are to make a pilgrimage to these cities at least once in their lifetime. Moslems do understand strength and ruthless blackmail. I have a recommendation. Unless the moslem community coughs up the terrorist and stops all terrorism upon the U.S., we threaten to nuke the cities of Medina and Mecca so that none can visit their holy city for the next half life of plutonium. It is clearly up to the moslem community to leave us alone or face the possibility of losing their holy cities. Let the moslems police their crazies so that they can keep their holy cities. Most of the terrorist are from Saudi Arabia and have living relatives in that country. The Arab community think that the US will dance anytime they say jump because they have oil. I say we can do without it if necessary. Do we want oil or live with terrorists?

Oh, I've been Freepin' and lurkin' since Jim started this site. I had to sign up yesterday to tell a story about calling the FBI. But, it doesn't matter when or where I come from. I can still recognize a nut when the shell is removed. Thanks for the personal attack, it's my first.

I think Peikoff is right in what he is saying. He just dosen't convey himself well. People are more interested these days in the messenger and not the message. Typical Clintonites. You can rape and lie but as long as you look good doing it people will overlook the content of your message.

Too bad America is made up of a bunch of pansies these days. This country dosen't have the balls to do what needs to be done. They are sitting around talking about being nice to everyone and about not killing muslims on Fridays. They will probably continue thinking this way untill there bodies become riddled with the horrid little bumps caused by small pox, or their diaghram begins to fail from botulism poisoining.

Im actually considering moving to a country where they have balls. If I'm gonna die, Im dying with my boots on. Not with some sensitivity manual. We are lucky at this point that America was made up of people with guts in 1941. They didn't want to go to war but when there hand was forced, they did what had to be done. Including internment camps for Japs and Germans. If the current population was faced with the same situation they would have failed and we would be speaking german or japaneese. Any suggestions on countries that have balls? Maybe Israel?
