Reich Runs for Taxachusetts Guv

Bill Clinton's former Cabinet officials keep running for governor. First Janet Reno in Florida, then Bill Richardson in New Mexico, now former Labor Secretary Robert Reich in Massachusetts.

Reich, famous as a left-winger, is at least considered more competent than the bumbling Reno and Richardson.

A Democrat and professor of social and economic policy at Brandeis University, Reich has never run for elective office. He has long hinted at seeking the Democrats' gubernatorial nomination will make a formal announcement Wednesday, an aide said in Boston.

Controversial liberal Republican acting Gov. Jane Swift, the state's first female governor, is seeking re-election in the fall with a homosexual as her running mate.

Reich has called Swifty "an embarrassment in terms of her incompetence." (And that sentence is an embarrassment in terms of syntax.)

He wrote a book right after leaving the administration that created his version of history out of whole cloth. Any state other than Taxachoositz and he would have a real problem. Hope he wins and teaches the smart set to learn to like eating his words.

I cannot think of anyone more suited to MaUSSRchuttes. He gets along with the runts of the litter - the remaining Kennedys - and the people in that state have shown that they deserve him.

Gee, Massachusetts...............do YOU ever get a swell choice:

A liberal, ditzy, drooling woman representing the Republican Party (yes, "in name only") along with her prancing running mate............OR a "Lord of the Rings" refugee with some degrees and impeccable liberal credentials who never met a tax he didn't like.

Face it, Mass.............you're screwed.

Little Tommy Daschle says Reich is a man of great stature.
