Forces Have Brought Peace to Kabul

After 23 years of war, foreign soldiers have brought peace to this battered capital city...
many patrolling troops call Kabul a safer place than London or New York.

Hopefully, this will be a lesson that President Bush takes to heart.
Peace doesn't "happen" unless, and until, the enemy's ability to wage terror is utterly and completely destroyed.
Then peace comes.
Why not let the Israelis take care of Yasser Arafat and his murderous PLO
like we did the Taliban in Afghanistan?

Asked what the crime was, Khan said a woman had run away from her husband and taken refuge in the house of a female friend. They had arrested the friend, he said, but the wife fled.

Sounds to me like the Afghan police need a LOT more training. They should have investigated the husband to see why the woman had to run from him, not arrest her friend who gave her refuge.

If they're still trying to run things on islamic law, the country is doomed.
