Note, 'the district must know who owns guns in order to prevent violence.'

Public humiliation for children, "for their own sake." Liberals. The most vicious of bullies.

Shades of Pavel Morozov! The liberals have perfected the Soviet art of employing children against their parents to smoke out practices in the home liberals abhor. It gives the liberal war upon the traditional family a whole new meaning.

I adopted a 'zero-tolerance' policy for socialist idiots over 30 years ago.

It works for me! ;^)

I'm surprised the school didn't call the police and have the boys charged with making "terrorist threats."

The insanity will continue until the voters show zero tolerance for liberals.

I've said it before. If parents want this nonsense to stop, all they have to do is instruct their kids to play shoot-em-up at school -- all of them. The school will have to either send them all home (and lose their attendance-driven funding) or drop the zero-tolerance policy. Guess which one they will pick...

Mr. Andrew was also angry over what he saw as the principal's chutzpah in asking the students about private family matters such as gun ownership. "It's none of her business," he said. "If she wants to know that, she needs to ask me, not Connor."

And I'm sure his answer would be the same as mine: "None of your F'in business!"

Fortunately, the elementary school where both my kids are have a principle who is an avid hunter, and we've swapped hunting stories and gun talk during school functions.

"And she kept saying over and over, 'We have a zero-tolerance policy, and we won't deal with anything.'" What this fool principal is saying is that she is in a position where she doesn't have to use any sense. Don't you wonder how much she is being paid for not having to "deal with anything"? These parents are going to let their kids go to public school next fall? I certainly hope not. Colorado has fairly lenient homeschooling laws if one can't afford a private school. Who would want these idiotic administrators in their children's presence?

But that's why they call it zero tolerance. "'No tolerance' means more than just a warning, because that would mean tolerance," Mrs. Mickle said.

In that situation, I honestly don't know what would prevent me from reaching out and breaking the administrator's arm, and saying, "I don't tolerate that policy."

My boys have gotten into trouble a lot with this zero sanity junk.

My six year old tried to hug his teacher. That is sexual contact.

My 10 year old took some nail clippers to school. He was carrying a weapon.

The school has asked me personally if I have a gun. I told them that if I did, I wouldn't tell them. And if I didn't I wouldn't admit to that either.

I've pulled my last son out of that public school this month.

They could replace this principal with a Norwegian Blue, and just throw it a handful of sunflower seeds now and then.

"Nowhere does the law mention fingers, but Mrs. Mickle said the conduct code gives administrators the latitude to deal with problems as they arise. "It's definitely not spelled out in the district discipline policy because we can't predict what every student is going to do," she said. "That's what we're here for: to interpret those details.'"

The rules of conduct are living and breathing documents that can be interpretted however they like. Sounds like our Constitution....

No because a Norwegian Blue might be logical in applying the policy.

Love this (in a lord what fools these mortals be way)

But that's why they call it zero tolerance. "'No tolerance' means more than just a warning, because that would mean tolerance," Mrs. Mickle said.

Mrs. Mickle said the conduct code gives administrators the latitude to deal with problems as they arise. "It's definitely not spelled out in the district discipline policy because we can't predict what every student is going to do," she said. "That's what we're here for: to interpret those details."

In other words the slightest infraction of the rules means no warning, maximum penalty, even if it's for breaking a rule not previously stated but the teacher now thinks should be there.

What is being taught here is not respect for rule of law but cringing obedience to the arbitary rule of tyranny.

Many a mickle makes a muckle

My nomination for quote of the day. This is truly a disgraceful state of affairs.
