So why is it that this BS is taking up the time of the US Senate - over 20 years have gone by - when there are actually important things for that legislative body to be considering? Of course, this is spearheaded by the ultra-left in the Senate.

President Bush should take the time to consider removing the US from the UN rather than spend even one second deliberating whether or not to allow them more power within our nation. Enough is enough -

Get the US out of the UN - and get the UN out of the US. NOW!

There is truly evil in the world. And it is winning, at the moment.

John, can you explain this BS to me?

In the middle east, women can't drive, they can't vote, they can't own businesses, they can't wear what they want, they can be smacked by their husbands without penatly, they can't practice the religion they want, and they can be killed by their fathers to save the family name.

In Africa, women are cicrcumcized, they can't vote, they can't own property, etc.

Meanwhile, western women are worrying about whether or not these same women can have an abortion at will paid for by the government? This is madness. If the UN wants to do something for women, free them from the bondage of dictatorial governments in the middle east and Africa first. Sheesh!

Feminist groups calling for U.S. ratification of a U.N. women's rights treaty are stepping up their lobbying as the Senate prepares for hearings on the pact.

Uh huh, it's always the same..............some 'disenfranchised' group yet again serves as pointmen for some, well, disenfranchised group......
