The man accused of killing Fresno County sheriff's deputy Erik Telen last year was found competent to stand trial by a second court-appointed psychologist, prompting his attorneys to ask that a jury decide the matter. Two previous court-appointed psychologists were split on whether 20-year-old Ramadan Abdur-Rauf Abdullah is competent to assist in his defense, prompting evaluation by the third. Two psychiatrists hired by the defense found him incompetent.

This is the man that was living at the now defunct Islamic Village above Fresno...Baladullah

The newspaper never reiterates the facts in this deputies murder...apparently this guy was wandering around the foothill neighborhood trying to break into homes. He was confronted by one homeowner, that stated Ramadan asked him for food, and to use his restroom. Ramadan seemed goofy to the man, so he told him to get lost. The man went into his house to call the Sheriff, and get his gun.

Meanwhile Ramadan broke into a home in which the residents were away, and hung out until the Fresno County Deputies responded. When the deputies entered the home, cautiously, Ramadan was lying "sniper style" in the hallway, and shot and killed Deputy Telen.

The original news video is still on line at KFSN TV 30. This video has been on their site since Nov, 2000, because of all the hits it continues to get. Mostly from Freepers.

All five, however, said Abdullah is psychotic.

Put this guy away, he is just the type that would make a good Homicide bomber for the Al Quada(sp?).
Lets see what their legal defense team does to try to save one of their potential assets.

Thanks for the feedback on this slimy POS!

Whenever, I see or hear of the ACLU trial lawyers trying to push the old insanity ruling, I think of what a really rare person told me.

The rarity is a conservative psychiatrist. For decades he has been saying that sane people do not murder innocent people or policemen/firemen while they are responding to a call.

He would like all of these people declared Criminally Insane which would make them immediately eligible for capital punishment with minimal reviews when they are found guilty of murder due to being criminally insane. His thesis, the criminally insane are dangerous to the safety of all Americans, and there is no cure. You can lock them up, and when they are released, their criminal insanity will cause them to murder or commit serious crimes soon after they are released. The only solution is quick capital punishment!

The lawyers in Kali love to get a murderer declared insane as their client. That is like winning a big lottery. They get to represent this POS for decades and receive millions of $'s over the lifetime of the murderer ruled as criminally insane. These scumbag lawyers only need one such client for a lifetime meal ticket. If the criminally insane murderer is a biggie or commited a really well known murder, the reward to these lawyers is even bigger. Of course our tax $'s pay for these scumbags who represent the criminally insane murderers.

I agree with that, I have always said that, as have many others. To murder you have to be insane. Murder is the opposite of what a sane person would do. Not to be with some form of justifiable action, such as self defense of protection of another.

These lawyers, are going to drag this out as long as they can. It has already been 7 months.

Our tax $'s will insure that this case is dragged out for years. Then after the trial, these scumbag lawyers will strike it rich with their lottery win, this murdering BLack Muslim.

Re insanity and murder. More conservatives need to bring this out into the open. I believe that former DA in Montana or Wyoming was pushing this concept a few years ago. Of course the lefts mediots and their big buddies the ACLU trial lawyers made sure the word didn't get out to the rest of the country.

To me, these kinds of people are just as bad as scumbag lawyers. Experts who sell their expertise to reach a predetermined conclusion are simply corrupt. They work for both sides for a buck.

Yes, as soon as I saw the story I thought of the one that was posted here yesterday about Baladullah. That story mentioned that one resident was arrested for smuggling guns, and another was arrested for killing a deputy--evidently this man. It's pretty sinister.
