TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- A deported Palestinian professor who had been jailed on secret evidence that prosecutors said linked him to terrorism landed in Beirut, Lebanon, on Saturday, supporters said.

Mazen Al-Najjar was granted a six-month visa, and arrangements have been made for him to move permanently from Lebanon to another country, his brother-in-law, Sami Al-Arian, said at a news conference.

Al-Najjar, who has a doctorate in engineering,

We were foolish to educate this fellow in the first place and even foolisher to allow him out of our control because of the potential for harm to our country his education represents.

If we are going to be stupid enough to provide a cutting edge education to a member of the enemy camp we should not compound the error by returning him to their camp.

Consider that Al-Najjar may be the architect of the next weapon of terrorism used against us.

"The Clinton administration shut down a 1995 investigation of Islamic charities, concerned that a public probe would expose Saudi Arabia's suspected ties to a global money-laundering operation that raised millions for anti-Israel terrorists, federal officials told The Washington Times."

My money says he won't move to a craphole Muslim nation. He will do his best to scam his way into some Euro-nation.

Ah, yes, but what's more interesting is the fact that Reno and Clinton kept our little terrorists friends locked away the entire time on "secret evidence," while they shut down all of the investigations of Islamic charities, Oklahoma City, TWA 800.

Of course, no one knows what the "secret evidence" concerning Mazen Al-Najjar, and his terrorist friend, Anwar Haddam, was. All we know is that while they were in the klink, the Clinton Gestapo attempted to clean up the loose ends.

One more detail concerning the Clinton Gestapo and the terrorists. The Saudi's laundered over a billion dollars in cold, hard cash.

From the Washington Times again:

Former federal prosecutor John J. Loftus said four interrelated Islamic foundations, institutes and charities in Virginia with more than a billion dollars in assets donated by or through the Saudi Arabian government were allowed to continue under "a veil of secrecy."

At least apprehended suspects like this one should foster some of the "Bush's secret war" arguments onto Clinton's shoulders as well. This man was in jail for 3 1/2 years (meaning that he wasn't jailed under Bush's War On Terrorism). Never heard about such protests in the past.

It'll be interesting to see the 'Rats try to make this type of thing a campaign issue.

It is interesting that both men were held for nearly four years by Reno with nary a word from the civil rights fanatics on the left.

And let's not forget that they were held on secret evidence, without access to due process, without lawyers. We didn't heard a peep from the lefties then, but we sure hear it now.
