Sen. Dianne 'Anti-American' Feinstein
Mike Gallagher
Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002
It took me two or three days to calm down after reading about the outrageous observation by California's loony liberal Sen. Dianne Feinstein that she was "embarrassed" to wear her U.S. flag lapel pin overseas. Her anti-American venom was spewed while sharing her observation that many Europeans don't like us very much. And so this powerful, veteran United States senator felt ashamed to admit to being an American.
I don't often ask my national radio audience to spring into action. But after seething about her remarks, I've officially mobilized "Gallagher's Army." Perhaps as a NewsMax.com reader, you'll join in our crusade.
I think Dianne Feinstein should receive many, many American flag lapel pins in the mail. She should get so many of them that she'll run out of ways to use them. She should receive thousands and thousands of pins from angry Americans who are sick of her type of America-hating liberalism. She should be reminded daily that the flag of which she is so ashamed and embarrassed represents a love of country and patriotism that she evidently cannot feel.
Please join us in sending her as many flag pins as you can. Be sure to include a letter expressing how you feel about her hateful, hurtful remarks. Her address is:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein
One Post Street
Suite 2450
San Francisco, California 94104
I'm not sure if this out-of-touch lib will ever "get it." I don't know if she's ever capable of understanding the disrespect and dishonor she brings to our great country. But if enough people send her lapel pins (I sent 10 yesterday), maybe she'll feel at least a twinge of shame for what she said.
It's time we start standing up to the whiny malcontents like Dianne Feinstein who hate America. Send her a lapel pin. Even if it doesn't make her feel better, you will.
Mike Gallagher's nationally syndicated radio show in now heard daily in our nation's capital on WGOP-AM.
I'm embarassed that she is my Senator.
I'm embarassed about that Boxer bitch, too.
Good grief. In their twin vileness, they are nearly comensurate with the Dark Queen Xillary's vanity and Marxist reflex.
Sheesh, whatta revoltin' development.
The flag
The creator of the comic strip "Beetle Bailey" had this to say about the U.S. flag on Sept. 4: "This flag [is] the symbol of the hopes of man. This cloth of dreams for freedom, justice and opportunity. Its stars are like beacons guiding us through the shoals of adversity. Its red stripes like wounds of struggle. The good in it cannot be had for nothing. ... Like any garden it must be tended ... like any loved one it must be held. Hold this flag high and keep its promise bright, for in it lies the best hope for all of us."
In the same edition of The Bee, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, upon returning from Europe addressing current sentiment there over the possibility of war with Iraq, was quoted as saying, "I have a [U.S. flag] pin. I was embarrassed to wear it" ("Bush plans war push"). Shame on Feinstein.

So Feinstein was embarrassed to wear her American flag pen while in Europe. Might I offer a suggestion to the good senator? I'm sure, as a world-traveled individual and with her resources, surely she could find a country to move to where she would no longer be embarrassed to wear that country's flag pin. Afghanistan or Pakistan come to mind.
Feinstein is the embarrassment -- to California and to the entire nation.

I am in a state of anger over Feinstein's statement that she was embarrassed to be wearing her American Flag pin because of anti-American sentiment in Europe. I am angry that she goes to the halls of Congress and represents me in a building on top of which there is an American flag flying.
Why should we get so concerned over European feelings when if it wasn't for us it would have been Germany (twice). If she is so embarrassed, why doesn't she resign? No American senator should ever be embarrassed to display the flag. God bless America.

I suggest that on Feinstein's next trip, she take Jane Fonda with her.

Just who pays her way in her cushy senate job? In my view she owes an apology for her stupidity and callous disregard for our beloved country and especially to all of the men and women today that have lost their loved ones in the service of their country.
