Complaints reviewed in 50 affidavits taken by Republican lawyers have no information that would change the outcome of last month's U.S. Senate race in South Dakota, Attorney General Mark Barnett said Friday.
"There was nothing that would take my breath away, make me think there was an election rip-off," Barnett said.

Barnett said some of the information bears checking out - including allegations of two people who say they were offered $10 to vote As FR's resident contrarian, I'd like to know why this is a problem. Both the republicans and democrats routinely promise handouts to voters. What's the difference if they pay them up front?

"But I don't have any indication of widespread fraud. Probably true. But it would not take widespread fraud to steal this election, which was clearly stolen. It would take narrowly focussed fraud in just one area to manufacture those 500 votes. And that's what happened.

Well, at least someone did something. The democraps need to know that we're watching. For victory & freedom!!!

The only races Democrats can win now are the those where:
1. They cheat (South Dakota)
2. The Republicans are divided (Kansas, Arkansas)
3. They outspend the Republican (Pennsylvania)
If one of these three circumstances are not met, then they invariably lose.

This is so inspiring. You can eagerly read news accounts, follow candidates campaigns closely. listen to the debates, research issues and resolve where you stand and should, as a citizen of the world's greatest ever republic, stand on this issue, and know the reasons why and why not. You know that Tom Jefferson himself could be watching with an approving nod from heaven.
What is the value of all this? $10 - they can buy an antidote to you for just $10.
Oops, time form my pill now.

Better get South Dakota cleaned up before Tommy Daschole runs again, cause they'll even have the dogs and cats voting in that one. THAT will be one crooked election.

This will go no where Where it needs to go is in the steady dribble of news stories in SD about Rat cheating. If Thune had made a losing effort in the courts, that would have been the headline grabber, but his patience can pay off in 2004.
