This article was sent by a liberal friend/foil to me. It seems like it would be an act of breath taking stupidity to hire a firm to conduct easily traceable criminal activity. This usually indicates to me that something is missing from this story.
Anyone have more insight here?

The Rats would have done the same thing if they'd thought of it first. I'm sure the party didn't realize it was illegal, could have happened to anyone. It really is funny.

...jammed get-out-the-vote phone banks operated by the citys firefighters union and the state Democratic Party. That would be hillarious if it weren't illegal.
To: Owl_Eagle
Why was the union spending funds of its members without a vote?

A Gore campaign worker admitted that in the NH Primary, they deliberately caused a trafic jam on a major road to keep Bradley voters from getting to the polls (Brit Hume had this on "the Grapevine" last night. But I guess that's OK cuz its all in the family.

A shame if this happened ... will there also be an investigation of the "rolling roadblock" the RATs are purported to have used. That was supposedly on the interstate highway system. Sounds federal to me.
See Primary School - Field organization (Albert Gore's team sabotaged 2000 New Hampshire primary) which starts "Vice-President Al Gore may have won the 2000 New Hampshire primary and subsequent primaries, which fed on the New Hampshiregenerated momentum thanks to a traffic jam. At least thats what many Democratic operatives with experience in New Hampshire seem to think. "

The real beauty of this situation is that the Federal Government is on our side for a change and there is nothing the Rats can do about it. If this were the Clinton years only the Republican side would have to answer, turn about is fair play.

If there is truly evidence of illegal, malicious activity, on the part of either side (or their surrogates), I'd expect the majority of the folks on FR to support the laws being enforced. In this case, turnabout is not fair play, it would be illegal.
Although maybe I'm misinterpreting your comments as being in support of selective use of the law for political purposes, an all-too-typical Demo/Commie tactic which should not be emulated by Republicans.

This would seem very easy to prove. And, if by some stretch it did occur, how incredibly stupid of the person(s) involved!

Huh? Since when is it illegal for a group of Republicans to make lots of phone calls?
Take a hike, liberal whiners. There are plenty of ways for you all to contact your dead/felons/pets/children/non-existent voters and get them to the polls.

Please! That is how the game is played. It would be very disappointing if the DOJ became involved in this case. This is exactly the kind of case that the Government should stay out of. If we don't protect our own, who will?

What you are advocating would further blur the distinction between the Demo/Commies and the Republicans. Is that your intent?

Hey, if only our side plays fair we will lose. The rules have changed and they changed them. All I'm suggesting is that we play the game with the new rules. It would be great if the laws were enforced uniformly, but since they won't be we need to take what's ours. You don't see anyone else disagreeing with me do you?

I do not challenge the notion that calls were placed by
a telemarketing firm hired by the GOP. I wonder why
more democrats were affected by the incident than
Republicans?

Sorry, someone has to lead the way and show what is right. If I have to break rules to win a game, I will not play.
