Terrorists are on the loose in New Jersey and some have been secretly locked up, the state's anti-terror czar said Wednesday night as U.S. forces massed to depose Iraq's Saddam Hussein.

"Yes," said the state counter-terrorism chief, Sid Caspersen, on New Jersey 101.5 FM radio when asked if terrorists were afoot in the Garden State.

I sure hope those of you in New Jersey have a lot of ammo stocked up. If war comes to these shores, it's going to be because of these two psychopaths McGreevey and Caspersen.

My Jersey friends say it is VERY hard to legally secure firearms over there.

FWIW, between Jersey being the most densely populated state, and also having lots of industrial sites, paranoia for everyone is understandable.

Par for the course for our none-too-subtle Governor, McScheevy. On the one hand he outlaws profiling, and on the
other, appoints an intemperate idiot like Caspersen to oversee the anti-Terror effort.

From a related thread yesterday . . .

Thanks for the reassurance. There's no way in hell that New Jersey would ever go to "Code Red," since people in that state wouldn't notice much of a difference.

The last time anything close to a shut-down of "non-critical" functions occurred involved almost a complete shut-down of a very limited area of state government. The toll collectors on the New Jersey Turnpike went on strike, and the New Jersey State Police engaged in a ticket-writing stoppage to protest the way the state government was dealing with complaints of racial profiling.

During this brief period I happened to be driving on the New Jersey Turnpike twice. Both times, I got where I was going a lot faster then usual (I was able to drive 90 miles per hour with no fear of getting a speeding ticket), and it didn't cost me a cent in tolls, either.

Now I wish that kind of sh!t happened all the time.

I wouldn't worry about either of these two dopes.

McGreevey is in the unenviable position of an incompetent moron who is incapable of doing anything but scratch his own @ss, yet must howl countless bizarre things at the moon in the hopes that one of them might make him look "responsible."

There's a reason why the guy has gone through about a half-dozen chiefs of staff in two years.

I am thankfull that I am not in the Northeastern states or the land of California.

If the government does declare martial law around here, at the very least, I will give them the benefit of a doubt and comply,at least initially.

Must be rough to live in an area where people dont trust their elected officials to the point that they fear their mayors, police, and governor will not react appropriately in an extreme emergency.

Many are living in Paterson, NJ, both in homes and in the County Jail.
