Terrorist devices, chemical weapons found in Iraq

U.S. Central Command says terrorist devices have been found in Iraq. At a briefing Tuesday morning, Brig. Gen. Vincent Brooks offered up examples of coffee tables laden with explosives and "suicide vests." Brooks also described the progress in the search for weapons of mass destruction.

"The most important part of it frankly, is that with every day that goes by, we get more and more information, we have more pieces of the puzzle being revealed to us and given some of the players we are currently taking into our custody and those we continue to seek. We remain confident that we'll find the evidence of the program that's been in place in Iraq for sometime,” Brooks said.

Brooks also said coalition forces are under a ceasefire in Iraq with a group it identified as People's Mujahadeen, a group he said is viewed as a terrorist organization.

In the meantime, other military officials say weapons experts in Iraq have found ingredients and equipment that could be used to make a chemical weapon. The New York Times reported the discovery was made south of Baghdad several days ago with the help of an Iraqi scientist. Officials in Washington haven't confirmed the information.

Actually they are waiting until Da$$hole, the NY Slimes and those on the far right claim that there were no WMD's and the whole thing is a failure. After they rant and rave for about a week, it will all unfold and come out. Again the mediots, left wingers and far righters will fall on their own swords of stupidity in front of millions of Americans.

Right, now about 70% of Americans could care less about finding WMD's. They know that a dangerous Regime to its people, America and world has been removed.

I'm betting we are not hearing a lot about them due to Diplomatic Channels. France, Germany, and Russia are probably being told that there is no need for everything to be told as long as they toe the line on most things. It will depend on the actions of those countries and the UN as to what all is told/shown. They toe the line we produce some of the weapons that do not link straight to them, they don’t we set the whole system of manufacture along with the weapons with “MADE IN ….” labels and the documents dealing with any cover up on the world stage.

I think you are correct.
I wish a breath of fresh air could blow through the whole, corrupt diplomatic process and naive people would finally see the whole picture.

If we suddenly see France, Germany and Russian dissolving the Iraqi debts, dropping the bans on Iraqi Oil production and sales, and other concrete signs, you will be proven right.

Also, these countries will be told any misbehavior in the rest of this century, the pictures, paper work and maybe actual WMD's will be shown to the world. That is like the 800 FBI Files the Clintoons had on key American congressits and others.

Also, security wise, if we find anything that is really dangerous, we are not going to announce to it the whole world, al Qaeda and other Islamofacist Terrorists thugs.

I think we saw part of it today with France calling for a suspending of the sanctions.

I'm not sure you will see a total forgiveness of all debt but a restructuring of payments. With payments delayed till production and infrastructure is rebuilt would go a long way towards getting Iraq on track. The side benefit of this would be that if some group(Shia) wants to take over right away they would be looking at a large debt they would have to contend with.

The forgiveness of the total debt would be a death blow to the governments of France, Germany and Russia. It may be what we would like to see but would cost more in the long run. It serves a lot more interests to have in place government that have learned a lesson than to have to teach it again.
