WOW! I wonder if C-SPAN will cover any of these events? I doubt if the networks will find time, they're too busy cataloging the things that are going wrong.

I hope someone reminds the crowd that Tracy Byrd is not related to Senator Sheets, at least I don't think she is. It's a shame to have the Grand Kleagle representing the people of a state that sends so many of it's finest to the US Military.

I find it rather interesting that every other Rally For America was celebrated out the wazzoo on FR, with dozens of Freepers attending each one, while the one in "that sh---y little West Virginia" is being totally ignored by everyone, even other WV Freepers.

I'm IN Huntington, and I'm staying home because I can't find one person willing to go with me, and I'm not going to be the only person walking into the stadium alone.

I would love to go to Huntington, unfortunately I can't. I have not been back home in years. I would love to have some Jeno's pizza bread and Stewert's hot dogs. I grew up on that great food in a great city with great friendly people. Boy, do I miss it all!

What makes you say that Tracy Byrd isn't related to the Senator. Afterall, you don't know much about Tracy Byrd. I have to say though that I also doubt that HE is related to Senator Sheets.

We were at the Fort Wayne Rally a few months ago. It was grrrrreat!!! We would be coming to this one in West Virginia too but we are in Las Vegas this weekend. I'm following it on the radio though. It sounds like it will be wonderful.

Tonight’s concert is being sponsored by Clear Channel Radio

It was my understanding that Beck did not want any-- His words "evil cooperate sponsers"-- 'cause NPR tried to tie the Rally For America to the Bush Administration and say it was all a campaign ploy and not a true American Rally. It really ticked him off not so much that he was tied to the Administration but that because a Corp. helped sponser the events that it wasn't genuine.

I don't think the rally is being ignored because of its location, or for any other reason. Many of the other, earlier rallies were organized by FReepers because nobody else was doing anything. Now, finally some big sponsors have taken up the task, and we can sit back and take some much needed rest and maybe just show up and be attendees. It's a little late in the game for this rally, but it's still a good thing. I wish that I could be in WV today, but my home responsibilities have been neglected for more than a year because of all the rallies we organized here in DC.

And now today the CANSWER commies are coming back to town, marching with a group of "peaceful Muslims." This is also Rolling Thunder weekend in DC. So I have another plan for my day, dictated for me by circumstance.

Just because nobody else is going to WV (or at least they aren't saying on FR that they're going) shouldn't stop you, if you want to go. If it's something you want to do, go for it! Bring your flag, a sign (with FR on it somewhere) and I'll bet you'll find more than a few FReepers and lurkers in the crowd. Even if you don't meet a single FReeper there, I'll bet that you'll have a great time, surrounded by other folks who love America. You'd get some great photos, and you'd leave with your spirit buoyed by the good folks around you. And you can write a report of your day for the rest of us to read. :-)

I attended Glenn Beck's magnificent Clearwater rally (5000 people) ALONE. I picked up two new Freepers there. One is never alone in a crowd of patriots.

Go by yourself anyway. You won't be disappointed.

It's too bad you feel that way.

I was involved in most of the rallies in Ct, either organizing them or attending them, so please forgive me for having burnout.

But, if I knew of a major one like this one is going to be, and I had the gas money, I would sure be happy to attend, just to make an appearance.

You might want to rethink your anger, the rally isnt about you, it is about them.

If I lived anywhere even remotely near WV, I would go with you honest I would! I did know about it because I listen to Glen Beck's radio show!
Okay Freepers, let's hear it!
Thanks WV for the fantastic rally for America!

I was at a rally in Martinsburg W.Va. earlier this spring. Of course it wasn't a Big ol'" Rally for America" sponsored by Glenn beck. It was announced on FR. I met Freepers XThe17th and drgnwrks there. I don't recall seeing you there although I do enjoy your posts.

Damn, any way we can get one of these Glen Beck Rallies in Boston MA or NE? I know we have some liberals out here but we also have the makings of a strong conservative base these past years.
