Eric Rudolph, suspected of bombing the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, two abortion clinics and a gay nightclub, is under arrest. "Rudolph was captured after police in western North Carolina spotted a man digging in a trash bin in the small town of Murphy" early Saturday morning, the Associated Press reports. He must be one of those "freegans."

Christian Terror Suspect? While Christians don't believe in killing the unborn we also don't believe in leaving bombs behind to kill whoever happens by. This headline is a Christian Hit Piece. Eric is no more a Christian than Saddam is a Christian.

I've said it on another thread and I'll say it again:
comparing a Christian to a "Christian Identity" cultist is like comparing a scientist to a Scientologist.

Christian Identity was named by FoxNews as anti-semitic and anti-gay.
Aside: Did you know that Rudolph's brother cut off his hand with a bandsaw to protest the FBI? They have it on video. Pretty gruesome. I think the family is teched.

Is Reuters referring to Rudolph as a "Christian Freedom Fighter"?
To: bruinbirdman
I'm not surprised by this as the liberal element will use any means to bash christians. If this keeps up i will take the side of Eric Rudolph.
To: Psycho_Bunny
They probably are and the DNC probably claims Eric came out of hiding in 2000 and voted for GWB.

Andrew Sullivan wonders if there isn't "something about monotheism that [lends] itself to a fringe of its adherents pursuing the demands of godly truth to the ultimate conclusion: terror." Mr. Sullivan would be at a loss to explain the roots of Hindu/Buddhist persecution of Christians & Muslims, I would presume.

"Rudolph's a Christian and I'm a Christian and he dedicated his life to fighting abortion," said Crystal Davis, 25, a mother of four. "Those are our values. These are our woods. I don't see what he did as a terrorist act."Actually, we don't yet know what Mr. Rudolph did, as he has not yet been to trial. It might be prudent to wait until there is more solid evidence as to what he did or did not do before making a committment to his actions.
However, basically I agree with this young lady. Mr. Rudolph's intentions appear to be consistent with those who oppose abortion - with a high degree of intensity.

"Actually, Rudolph, who apparently spent the past few years hiding out in the woods, appears to be a Christian of sorts"
What's a "Christian of sorts"? Just curious.

"the liberal element will use any means to bash christians."
And conservatives.
Debating a guy on a community website today, I got this reply:
"when everything is about politics to someone that is usually a sign of a RIGHTWING Militant conservative, didnt the F.B.I. just recently capture one of your own ( Eric Rudolph ) just yesterday? Socialist, Liberal, conservative it doesn't matter."
They hate us for what we are conservatives and Christian.

I guess I wouldn't know. Maybe it means he believes in Christ but not his teachings. Sort of.

These are the terms law enforcement uses to describe these types of incidents. This is the material the media is cooping to make these claims. I had to deal with these types for about 10 years.
"Christian Identity" is the name used by Neo-nazi, racial holy war inciters. it is very harmful, and promotes a racial holy war to cleanse the world of "dark races". They hate everyone.
The "British -Israelism" they cite accompanies the neo nazi ideology cited above, but not exclusively. Its not harmless.
Some legitimate rabbinic Judaism sources and mainstream Christian sources also use submit a legitimate type of British- Israelism based on scholarly research. Its called the "two houses' theory. It is harmless, and is mainly found in academic circles. It doesnt hurt a fly.
I've heard this headline three times on radio today, and each time they were big on slaming Christianity. One was so bad I called and complained.
This is nothing but a leftist hit piece.
Sincere regards
Judicial
