I know your concerns and share them. But Bush is the best we've got.

So why is that? Why do republicans only have the choice of Bush? Why is there not a good candidate willing to challenge him in the primary?

There must be candidates who are better than GWB. And by and large as a moderate, I like what he has done. But even I know that likely somewhere there is a person who not only could command a larger republican turnout, but could also entice conservative and moderate democrats to vote R. So where is this person and why isn't he or she willing to risk a primary challenge?

But what is very sad is we elected a Republican president, Republican Senate, Republican Congress, and many Republican governors. And this is all we've got from it? Not a whole lot. Our previously wealthiest state is in serious trouble --$35 billion deficits but Bush decides to waste $15 billion on African Aids? I don't believe we should be bailing out California ----but certainly we don't need to be wasting so much taxpayer money on other causes.
