There are so many issues here:
No respect for human life, another dead child at the hands of her mother, child Abuse, Fathers' rights , prejudice against fathers in child custody cases, sex before marriage, the conceiving of children only after marriage, using contraception so situations like this won't happen, marijuana use and depression/other psychological illnesses (some say the drug should be legal!), the bureaucracy, another child killed by a despondent mother (Andrea Yates killed her 5 children), another child killed without using a firearm (are we now going to register bathtubs and water and license those who sell bathtubs and water?), etc.
Oh, that's right, this is AMERICA!! Where a TURTLE egg and nest receives more protection under US and Florida law than a human being, sorry, I forgot.

This is sad.
I hate our court system right now for its innate bias against Fathers.

Another injustice created from the bias of the feminized child welfare and family court system.
It's disgusting how they deny fathers their basic rights to parenthood and then expect them to shoulder all the burdens.

The mother had no other choice to abort the child and herself, because the father was violating her right to privacy! </sarcasm>

Excellent analysis. So many issues here. I was married to a mentally ill man for years. The state and society had NO idea how to handle him - and I did - and all they ever did was get in our way and cause us grief.
They acted when they didn't need to (to "protect" me - despite my protests) and didn't act when I asked them to (to "protect" him) and in general were just a big screwed-up mess.

About the only way to ensure that a complaint about child abuse or endangerment will be ignored by social services is to have the father make it.

My God, how horrific. So true that father's have little or no rights concerning their children, born or unborn. CPS fails again as usual. Katie will defend the Mother I suppose.

What a beautiful baby. How very very sad.
The disintegration of society is now speeding up so fast that the scenery is whizzing by too fast to see.
I lived in Berkely in the late 60's and was invited to the early "women's liberation" meetings by my room mate - after two or three meetings, the "wymmin" all declared that they hated men and wanted to be lesbians. They were the angriest, bitchiest, shrillest nastiest bunch of females I had ever seen. I left, and never looked back. (BTW, my roomie then "came on" to me and I moved out of state!)
Feminism is evil, and totally against nature. These women who kill their children have gone mad or are just plain evil. Women and men are very, very different in their psychology and roles they are meant to fulfill in the world, by divine arrangement. Men are being emasculated and deprived of their natural masculine role as protectors, and women are being de-feminized and deprived of their role as mothers and nurturers.
Result? A world gone mad. And children slaughtered in the womb, and now after they are born. And the ones that survive the gauntlet - many so damaged they can't be fixed.
You all know that now one third of all children born in the US are born out of wedlock?

Roe v. Wade declared life disposable. I never heard of such things back when life was still considered sacred. Thanks a lot NOW. Of course, I'm sure you will never see or admit YOUR responsibility for such atrocities until God Himself calls you to account, and He WILL call you to account whether you believe in Him or not.

marijuana use and depression/other psychological illnesses (some say the drug should be legal!)It appears that some mentally ill people try to self-medicate with marijuana. But the same is true for alcohol, yet nobody suggests that this is a good reason to ban alcohol.
