WASHINGTON -- Vice President Dick Cheney got up yesterday morning, boarded Air Force Two and flew to Columbia, S.C., where he rode in a motorcade to a private home, shook hands, and posed for pictures with 150 donors at a luncheon. There he raised $300,000 for the Bush-Cheney reelection committee before flying home.

This is really stupid.

Talk about spin! Talk about sour grapes! Talk about a misleading headline! Talk about comparing apples to oranges!

This article has it all!

You're right about everything you said. But look at the bright side. Who could we possibly want more to be the demonrat nominee next year.

Go! Dean Go!

Let me get this straight The Bush campaign has raised over $41 million, Dean has raised, I don't know, $6 million and the media is in a frenzy over Dean. Also, Cheney raised $300,000 in a few hours and took Dean four days to raise $344,000. How can you say Dean did better? Don't get me wrong, I hope Dean is the Democrat nominee, because it will be a McGovern type loss for the Dems in Dean is their nominee.

Exactly. Gotta wonder how much money came from Republicans.

This is Deany fabricated BS spin. They purposely had donors withhold donations until the same day as a Cheney small fundraiser just so they could get the news buzz of out raising Cheney. It makes the national news AND scares of the other Dems.

Very well done news spin, but carefully planned spin nonetheless.

I finally got around to sending some money for Bush-Cheney 2004 and volunteering for the campaign. However, I still plan on voting Howard Dean in the Georgia open primary.

You touch on an interesting point when you wonder if Republicans are contributing.

I have to admit I've been tempted to make a symbolic donation. Then again, never having once even voted for a demonrat, I wonder if I might incur some sort of self-inflicted cosmic curse.

Nah! Got to stay clean. Got to stay clean.

SO when Dean loses the primary, these 9500 Democrats that gave to his campaign will be demoralized and out of play in the general election.

Good work, Howard!

Him took 150 Republicans to raise $300,000. Then it took 9,500 Democrats to raise $344,000. It looks like we have the high rollers not to mention the rest of us $25 dollar group.
