Just last month, this fashionable San Diego enclave was ground zero in the war against urban sprawl.
In one of the United States' most destructive acts of environmental terrorism, investigators say, members of a group calling itself the Earth Liberation Front crept onto a construction site here in the middle of the night and set it ablaze. They left a banner that read: "If you build it, we will burn it. The E.L.F.s are mad."

They are mad as in nuts. They think nothing about others rights, but I'll bet they are the first to whine about their legal rights when they land in jail.

I'd be willing to bet that member's of ELF and ALF own nothing of value. If they did they wouldn't treat others property that way. If their property was destroyed by some other punk I'm sure there would be hell to be paid.

ELF members are terrorists and should be prosecuted as such.

One of the E.L.F. members involved in the HUMMER dealership fire was arrested today. Perhaps a stint at GITMO will persuade him to give up the rest of the terror cell.

An annual inventory by the U.S. Department of Agriculture recently reported that about 2.2 million acres of wildlife habitat and agricultural land a year -- about the size of 34 Orlandos -- are lost to development. That's almost twice as much open space disappearing a year as during the 1980s. This is where the passive supporters of ELF piss me off. Outside of Boston, Massachusetts, the suburbs are overrun with coyotes, deer, moose, fox, and raccoons. There is even a large cougar size cat roaming the north shore. The coyotes, moose, and the large cat are newcomers to the Boston suburbs. Two hundred years ago much of New England and the eastern seaboard states were farmland. Most has now reverted to third generation forest. The big lie is most of what is lost is farmland, not wildlife habitat. The sleazy ELF support media couples wildlife habitat with farmland so they can get habitat into the discussion.

Easiest ways to curb sprawl.
1. Lower taxes in the cities and inner burbs.
2. Good schools.
3. Low crime.
4. Good services.
Give the people in the cities reasons to stay there. Who wants to live in Detroit City?
