CONFUSED CLARK CALLS RETREAT ON HAWK TALK

September 20, 2003 -- In a disastrous debut, Gen. Wesley Clark yesterday flip-flopped back and forth on the Iraq war - wobbling over the issue that was supposed to be the strongest suit for the latest 2004 Democratic wannabe.

A day after Clark raised eyebrows by saying he'd "probably" have voted for the war if he'd been in Congress, the rookie campaigner did a complete about-face and insisted he would "never" have done any such thing.

For months, Clark - who was first in his class at West Point and is known to have a high opinion of himself - publicly flirted with a campaign but did little to line up a cadre of strategists to help him.

Don't worry, H*****y's little puppet will have the full power of the Clinton machine behind him, at least until he is no longer useful to them. It doesn't matter what he says.

"Let's make one thing real clear..."

He sounds just like the "Cleaning Lady" Mad Maddie Halfbright. That is her diatribe.

If the Dems were not such racists, they'd realize that Sharpton is the best they've got.

Reminds me of the Grim Reaper at the end on Monty Python's Meaning of Life:

Grim Reaper: "Shut up, you American! You Americans, all you do is talk, and talk, and say "let me tell you something" and "I just wanna say." Well, you're dead now, so shut up!"

And if Sharpton is the best they got... time for a refreshing drink of kool-aid.

LOL, you know I sort of agree with you.

You gotta let Sharpie-Sharp take some responsibility too. It is too bad the guy turned himself into a hustler and a bafoon years ago. He is really Sharp, and he coulda been a contender.

I'd trust Al Sharpton a damn sight further than I'd trust HRC, on any day. And I'd rather see his Brooklyn behind in the senate over her carpet-bagging butt.

GO AL GO!

"Let's make one thing real clear - I would never have voted for this war. I've gotten a very consistent record on this...."

"... and I think there's nothing more important than to be consistent. I mean, you've got to be consistent in your consistency. Because if your consistency isn't consistent, how can anyone be sure of the consistency of of your consistency? (God, I'm so confused! Help!)"

That "Mary, help!" line is just too priceless. Heck, that one remark could be the basis for entire e-commerce site by itself, with "Mary, help!" coffee mugs, t-shirts, mouse pads, bumper stickers, baby pacifiers ... A target rich environment.

So far, the only thing consistent about Clark has been his inconsistency.

Strange that General is so upset about Bush's attack on Iraq. Clark was the general in charge of Clinton's attack on Serbia. He commanded the destruction of the Serb nation - a nation that was fighting to protect itself from the murderous attack from the Albanian Muslim Jihad terrorits. Bear in mind that the Jihad terrorits were infaltrating the Serb province of Kosovo and killing Serb police and civilians. When the Serb army was sent in to drive the Jihad terrorists and their supporters out of Kosovo, Clinton and Madeline Albright ordered General Clark to bomb Serbia back into the stoneage if necessary. For 79 days, Clark bombarded Serbia with tens of thousands of cluster bombs, smart bombs, cruise missiles and strew the countryside with depleted uranium warheads. He killed thousands of Serbs and left their country a smoldering ruin. And for what reason? Because the Serbs dared to protect their nation and their people from the attacks of the Islamic Jihad invaders. When President Bush felt the US threatened by the Jihad Islamic terrorits, he went 10,000 miles to attack them in Afganistan. Presedent Bush also attacked Iraq killing at least 40,000 plus Iraqis and absolutely destroying that nation because he felt that it was in our nation's interest. How hypocritical of General Clark to now condemn Bush, when he was in charge of killing thousands of Serbs who were trying to save their nation from the onslaught of the Islamic terrorists.

How is it that General Clark can butcher people who were protecting themselves again the terrorist invaders from Albania, but criticises President Bush for his action in Iraq?

Serbs were our former allies and never threatened us. Yet Clark destroyed that nation, killing mainly women and children.

Mary, Help!

LOL

Sounds a lot like "help, mommy, help"

I guess this makes clark look like a little Mary's boy.

Did Mary tie your shoes for you before your big press conference?

Did Mary make you eat all your veggies before you could have your pudding? mmmmmmmmm, nummy, nummy pudding.

Unfortunately you are correct. A sympathetic media updraft will keep him afloat as long as necessary, just as it did Clinton in 92 and afterward.

You beat me to it. As soon as I saw that, I said to myself, "Imal, my main man, Clark just gave you his campaign slogan!"

"Mary, help!" will carry the good general into the pages of history!

You should end your comments with the Kosovo fiasco of which you are obviously knowledgable. We went to Afghanistan because of 9/11, and we didn't kill 40,000 Iraqis or destroy that country. We were very careful about what we did there, much more careful than in Serbia where we bombed from 30,000 feet. Even with that, we didn't "destroy" Serbia either although what Clinton/Albright/Clark did there was reprehensible.

Clark is a bumbling fool who tried to start WWIII. He should drop out and go back to cleaning Hitlery's swimming pool.

"Mary, help!" I'm so confused. What day is it? What am I supposed to say? What's my position on that? Why can't 11 be in the next debate? I need Mary! Mary, you still there?
