Your vehemence is blinding your thinking. Paul referred to the cross. Hundreds of songs have been written to praise the cross. The cross has been preached by RC Sproul.
The references to the cross is not to put idyllic worship on the wood, any more than David looked to the altar for salvation. Reference to the cross is to point to the sacrifice on the cross by Jesus Christ.
I believe Sunday's message was to refuse Christ is similar to the Jewish leaders' refusal, "We have no king but caesar." But, this I cannot say with certainty as I have not read that sermon.
I do not adhere to Roman Catholic teachings, and reject any that are not scriptural. I do not appreciate your journey into hatred.
