My response: Guess you didn’t read the post. Regarding ruling the world, you are assuming that “ruling” means political rule. The Bible is about covenants. Israel, from a covenantal perspective, was GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE—ABOVE ALL OTHERS. They were given this position then blew it in unfaithfulness. Mat 21, 22, 23, 24.

The Bible is about much more than just covenants. I do agree God's chosen people blew it, as the prophets foretold they would.

God's message for the world was then entrusted to the Gentiles until we too "blew it." This age ends when the time of the gentiles (our time) ends - coming soon, IMHO.

In the new age that's fast approaching, Christ will be our King, and his throne will be in Jerusalem, where he will rule the entire planet for the next one thousand years.

As my study of eschatology leads me to understand it.
