When I first moved to Texas (from the east), I'd take the family to the Mexican Inn...cheap, plentiful, could feed the family of 4 for 20 bucks.

I always thought they needed to rinse their dishes better, haha...

One day a lady plopped a bunch of cilantro on the grocery check-out conveyor...I got a whiff of it & realized, "so that's what that smell is!"

Yeah, it's a genetics thing.
