I think the Millenium is a literal thing, but it does not begin until the coming of the Messiah to take us to Heaven.

I think it will be a time of rest and growth and maybe a bit like a boot camp because there will be so much we need to learn to live an eternal life.

At that time the body of believers saved by Grace through faith will have been gone from the earth for aat least seven years but will return with Jesus for His touchdown.
