There are a lot of children who grew up normal when the doctor said they wouldn’t. She sounds selfish to me.
My two youngest have an incurable defect of their endocrine system.
In one it caused hyperandrogenism and gender dysphonia. In the other, it caused premature bone maturation and sterility.
They are both otherwise healthy, extremely smart, talented, loving, kind, and ethical. One is rocking a 4.0 GPA in microbiology with a dual major and my little man has a lovely girlfriend, is planning for college for computer science, and heading off to prom next weekend. Like my other children, he’s getting a car for graduation.
Little man was the one the doctors encouraged me to abort, assuring me he would be severely malformed. With the exception of his shorter stature (5’6” instead of his projected 6’), he’s perfectly formed and a good looking kid.
I told the doctors to pound sand. God gave him to me and He would provide.
All of my kids have been a true blessing.
