Since you obviously disagree with the author, why not post your own article refuting this one?

I believe there are 2 major points he makes:

1) The Crusades occurred because Islamic armies had violently seized large tracts of land and threatened and killed Christians. This is tru. In fact, the Arab populations of North Africa are not because they are indigenous to the area. The arrived and stayed through force.

2) The Crusades were often brutal, as was any war at the time.

These are facts that are indisputable.
