VetsCoR Founding Ideals

VetsCoR was founded in 2002 because the original members believe, as did our Founding Fathers, in individual Freedom and Liberty, with the individual solely responsible for his or her life. The vision of the Founding Fathers of this great nation was one of free men and women, pursuing life, liberty, and their own vision of happiness, constrained only by their responsibility to do no harm to others.

To this end, the Founders wrote one of the most important documents in the history of mankind! Wisely, it specifically limited the role of centralized government and maximized the power of the individual to control their own destinies - free from the dictates of an elite ruling class. That document is the United States Constitution.

Over the past 100 years, and particularly since the 1960s, the vision of America changed dramatically. Since that time, we constantly hear of another “American” vision, which is a vision of control of every aspect of our life and society by a self-anointed elite. In other words, SOCIALISM is now defined by some as an “American” vision. This is not only wrong, this “vision” of America is antithetical to Americanism. If a person believes in central control of everything they are in fact, UNAMERICAN.

At all times, and in all places where socialism has been tried, it has failed, costing hundreds of millions of lives and untold suffering to billions of people. Indeed, our own first experiment with SOCIALISM was at the Plymouth Colony in the 1600’s. This colony was almost completely wiped out before the leader of the colony changed course and allowed freedom and private property to flourish.

In the over two centuries that have past since the founding of this great nation, her sons and daughters have fought, and many have died, to free the people of other nations from tyrants and dictators of all stripes.

VetsCoR is determined to honor those dedicated Americans and their Oaths by restoring the Constitution to its original intent, as our Founding Fathers believed to be the right path a nation should follow.

Those interred forever in the hollowed grounds at Arlington National Cemetery and at National Cemeteries across the country and around the world would be saddened to see how often their dedication to their Oath has often been for naught. Power hungry politicians and political parties have so misused and abused our Constitution for their own personal and political gain, it's become clear they have lost sight of the wondrous vision our Founding Fathers believed in; fought for; and died for; - a free non-intrusive Nation of limited government.

We, who believe in that "vision", are honor bound to take up the battle where our fallen Military heroes have left off. We owe it to their memory and our own future to return our government to the basic principles that so many sacrificed for and made our Nation an example that that so many peoples of the World yearn for.

It can be done. Our heritage demands it. Please join us.

Great synopis above! However, the About (Our Mission) page on the VetsCoR web site could you some massaging. It’s a little long and somewhat redundant. Guess someone couldn’t be as succinct as he liked...;)

I’ll join you if you help me.

I have a favor to ask of you. I am a member of Soldiers Angels and the founder was nominated in a “Favorite Mom” contest by her son. The prize is $25,000 and a spot on TV. It requires you sign up at the site & log in daily to vote. If you can, please help.

http://www.americasfavoritemom.com/mothers-day-2008/mom/Patti-P-3418#

Patti P is currently in 5th place and needs more votes.

In the world of Soldiers Angels... $25,000 can buy 35 Valour-IT laptops for our wounded hereos. It can buy 5000 wounded hero backpacks to send to those most in need. It can buy 50 airline tickets for families and soldiers in need to get back and forth in emergency situations. To an organization like Soldiers’ Angels that solely relies upon donations and sponsors to step forward with generous commitments to our programs, a gift like $25,000 will go a long ways.

Please go to www.americasfavoritemom.com and vote for Patti Patton.

for info on the group,
www.soldiersangels.org

we need people to vote every day and Keep Patti in the top 5 (hopefully higher). Please help, it is just a matter of logging on the site each day and voting.
