It would be prudent to start searching for oil all over Alaska, off shore California near Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, and off the West coast of Florida, very near Tampa. My view is that most Saudis have a grudging pride in what OBL has done and many can rationalize that their cash contributions don't go to terrorism but to some benign aspect of his activities, the holy schools, for example. If the Saudis didn't have all that oil, they would be among the nastiest and most reviled tribes on earth.

I think it would be more than prudent. It is a sign that we are not yet serious about a war on terrorism that the President's energy bill is being stymied and that there has been no real discussion of the degree to which pseudo-environmentalism threatens our long-term safety and well-being.
