This is a startlingly cogent article. It has changed my mind set significantly. Who is this guy?

Leading political editor William Rees-Mogg is the former Editor-in-Chief for The Times of London and a member of the House of Lords. Lord Rees-mogg has been credited with accurately forecasting glasnost and the fall of the Berlin Wall - as well as the 1987 crash.

Rees-Moog and James Dale Davidson have penned a number of books on economic and societal future (The Sovereign Individual, Blood in the Streets) in the 1980s & 90s. One of the books, the name of which escapes me, deals with their foreseeing cataclysmic breakdowns of the nation states, with seeming contradictory rise in these states' federal powers, but increasing ineffectiveness in inhibiting ethnic and religious breakups and terrorisms. Unfortunately the two also offer a newsletter, Strategic Investments, which had rather horrible specific stock recommendations when I subscribed 1996-1998. But it was always an enjoyable read.
