As contemptable as the Trudeau strip is, as Rush brought out in his commentary, this says way more about the liberal mindset than it does about Bush.
First it illustrates that exploiting disasters and suffering to promote their own agenda is the normal MO for liberals, so of course they expect everybody to think that way....
...and secondly they are actually jealous that the one benefiting is President Bush.
You have to examine this with some insight into how their small minds operate.

Granted the editors do have the decision of what appears in their papers but you do understand that quite often strips with "questionable" content are dropped (and a substitute strip run instead that day). This "freedom of speech" thing does cover all perspectives (even when a commitment has been made to that creator's work).I understand that perfectly well. I'm not knocking the originator for asking for a boycott of papers to not run Trudeau's strip. I'm just saying that when papers do run objectionable "comics", it makes it easier to spot those who have a twisted perspective.
Like you said, freedom of speech works both ways. We have the right to voice objection when we feel those who enjoy unfettered print access go over the line.

Thanks for those links. Trudeau showed his true colors during the Clinton years, when his barbs against Clinton were incredibly mild compared to the way he treated Reagan and the Bushes. And I think he's an arrogant jerk -- when he was shown to have believed an urban legend (the IQ test story), he was very snotty about it. I'll give him props for two things -- his first cartoons drawn after 9/11 were fairly good, until he started bashing Bush again, and he's got an excellent website.
